SSC exams begin in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Secondary School Certificate (SCC) examinations began across the Telangana State here on Thursday.

The students were allowed to enter the examination hall one hour before the commencement of examination at 9.30 am. Separate seating was arranged for students with cough, fever and other symptoms.

As a part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, the students were allowed to wear masks. Several students and their parents visited the centres by wearing surgical masks.

The SSC exams will conclude on 16th April. As many as 5,34,903 students have registered for the exams. In view of rising temperature, drinking water, ORS packets and other facilities are being provided at examination Centres.

The Directorate of Government Examinations has established a Control Room with the telephone number 040-23230942. A total of 2,530 examinations centres have been set and nearly 30,500 teachers have been assigned the responsibility of invigilators. (INN)
