MANUU conducts Entrance tests at 19 centres amid precautionary measures

Hyderabad: The entrance examination for admission into various regular courses at Maulana Azad National Urdu University started today in all 19 centres across the country amidst covid precautionary measures . The entrance will continue till August 25.

According to Mr. Mirza Farhatullah Baig, Controller of Examination around seventy five percent candidates appeared for the test in forenoon session on the first day. The entrance exam, is being conducted simultaneously at centres situated at Asansol, Aurangabad, Azamgarh, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bidar, Cuttack, Darbhanga, Delhi, Jammu, Kadapa, Kishanganj, Lucknow, Nuh, Patna, Ranchi, Sambhal and Srinagar besides MANUU Headquarters at Hyderabad. Around 10,400 candidates registered for the entrance test programmes (for all three days), among which the highest number of applicants of 4,259 (for 815 seats) were registered for B.Ed.. The second highest applicants of 1346 (number of seats 1050) registered for Diploma in Engineering whereas 1,170 (number of seats 125) applications received for Diploma in Elementary Education. A total number of 620 (for 9 seats) and 546 (for 75 seats) candidates registered for Ph.D. Urdu and B.Tech Computer Science respectively.

Meanwhile, the entrance for PhD (Management, Sociology, Political Science, Translation Studies), MBA, B.Ed (Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics) will be conducted in the morning session of August 24 and in the afternoon session the entrance for PhD (Computer Science, Commerce, Women Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology) and Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) will be held.

On August 25, in morning session the entrance for B.Ed (Social Studies) and in the afternoon session entrance for B.Ed (Urdu) will be conducted.
