Home Minister visits injured constable in hospital

Hyderabad: Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, accompanied by DGP Mahender Reddy and other senior police officials, visited the Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda on Thursday to meet the constable Mahesh who was injured during an exchange of fire with the Maoists.

Constable Mahesh got a bullet injury to his arm during an exchange of fire between the Police and Maoists in the early hours of 18th January at Karriguttalu Forest Area in Mulugu-Bijapur District Boarders. The injured constable was immediately shifted to Hyderabad in Helicopter and admitted to the hospital for treatment. Surgery was done to the constable’s arm Constable on Wednesday.

The Home Minister enquired about the health condition and treatment of the constable with the Doctors and also spoke to the constable and his parents and relatives in the Hospital. The doctors of the Hospital briefed the Home Minister that the constable is stable and is recovering and would be discharged soon.The Home Minister assured of extending all needed help to the constable from the State Government. (INN)
