MANUU to hold Seminar on “Depiction of Partition in Urdu Literature”

Hyderabad: The Department of Sociology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing one-day Seminar on “Depiction of Partition in Urdu Literature” in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts, (Janpada Division – Ministry of Culture, Government of India) on Thursday at Saiyid Hamid Library Auditorium, MANUU Campus at 10:00 a.m.

According to Prof. P. H. Mohammad, Head, Department of Sociology and Convener, the seminar is being organized to observe  ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ and to celebrate India’s 75 years of independence under the programme of Azadika Amrit Mahotsav.

Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor will inaugurate the seminar.Prof. Mohd. Naseemuddin Farees, Prof. Shagufta Shaheen, Prof. Abul Kalam, Dr. Ameena Tahseen, and Dr. Md. Ehtesham Akhter will present papers dwelling upon different dimensions of the depiction of the partition of the country in Urdu literature. (INN)
