TS Govt will establish 33 medical colleges in Telangana: Harish Rao

Hyderabad:  Health Minister Harish Rao said that the Health department was providing the best services to the people in the Telangana state.

He was speaking during a program organized at Shilpakala Vedika on Saturday.

Harish Rao handed over the appointment orders to the newly appointed 929 doctors on this occasion. He said that recruitment was being done as per the announcements of chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He said that medical colleges would be established in 33 districts of the state to provide quality medical education to poor people.

The Minister said that Telangana was ahead in the country concerning MBBS seats and second in the country in PG seats. He said that Telangana was in 3rd place in providing quality medical treatment. He asked the doctors to see that infant death are reduced and stated that the government was contemplating expanding the Aarogyasri services to the PHC level.He said that anything can be purchased but not life and doctors save lives. He informed that the process of recruiting new doctors was done transparently. He asked the newly recruited doctors to work sincerely and serve the people. He advised them not to roam around for transfers and instead dedicate services to people. (INN)
