Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao said that National Dalit Bandhu Sammelan would be held on August 16 this year commemorating the completion of two years of the Dalit Bandhu scheme in the State.
In this regard, KTR asked the Karimnagar Collector R V Karnan to make necessary arrangements.
The minister visited Karimnagar and inaugurated the R&B Guest House (Circuit Rest House) and MLA office buildings. Ministers Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar and Errabelli Dayakar Rao were also present in the program. Planning Commission Vice President Vinod Kumar and many public representatives participated.It was suggested to invite national-level industrialists, intellectuals and political figures for the proposed sammelan. Stating that the scheme was useful for the economic empowerment of Dalits, KTR said that the benefits of the scheme should be explained to the people, especially the leaders of opposition parties.
