Telangana villages stood ahead in Panchayat awards: KTR

Hyderabad: IT and Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao announced that Telangana State has once again secured the top position in the National Panchayat Awards. He highlighted that the state leads the country in per capita income, best gram panchayats, and 100% open defecation-free (ODF) status in rural areas.

Rao attributed this success to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, whose wholehearted and committed implementation of the Palle Pragathi program has significantly transformed the villages.

To mark the occasion, the minister took to Twitter to congratulate Panchayat Raj Department Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and his team.Notably, Telangana villages have excelled in the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar, winning 8 out of 27 awards. (INN)
