CM Cup Sports will unleash sporting talent: Prashant Reddy

Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy said that the Telangana government was organizing the Chief Minister Cup-2023 sports competition in the state with the determination to bring out the hidden talent among skilled sportspersons in the rural areas.

Minister along with RTC Chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanuman inaugurated the CM Cup – 2023 district-level sports competition at Police Parade ground in Nizamabad on Monday. Later, he said that competitions are being organized at Mandal, district and state levels to encourage the sportsmen and enable them to showcase their talent. He said that Chief Minister KCR’s focus was always on the development of rural people.

As a part of this, it has been revealed that sports grounds have been set up in every village panchayat and all wards in urban areas for the sportsmen of rural areas. He called upon the rural students and youth to excel in sports by taking advantage of these. Along with Malawat Purna, there are many athletes from the district like Nikhat Zareen, Yendala Soundarya, Gugulot Soumya, Hussamuddin, and Ishasingh who are excelling at the national and international level and called upon them to take inspiration from them, he said.RTC Chairman Bajireddy Govardhan suggested that everyone should make sports a habit which contributes to the health and mental happiness. He said that winning in sports is natural and the losers should not be disappointed and should inspire the winners to move forward. Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumantu said that the players are participating in the CM Cup-2023 competitions with great enthusiasm. (INN)
