Hyderabad: As part of the Telangana Decennial Celebrations, Harithotsavam, a state-wide initiative, was organized on Monday.
Rajya Sabha member Santosh Kumar actively participated by planting saplings in the HMDA layout of Uppal Bhagayath, located in the Medchal district. The event witnessed the presence of numerous party leaders, Uppal MLA Bethi Subhash Reddy, and officials.MP Santhosh Kumar extended his congratulations to all the participants who took part in the sapling plantation drive. He highlighted that the Green India Challenge program was initiated, drawing inspiration from the successful Haritha Haram program. Over the course of nine years, the combined efforts of Haritha Haram and the Green India Challenge have raised awareness about the importance of tree plantation. The significant growth in greenery stands as a testament to the collective efforts of all those involved, he said. (INN)
