Hyderabad: Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the Medha Group Railway Coach Factory in Kondal, Rangareddy district on Thursday.
The factory, which was built at a cost of Rs. 1,000 crores, is the largest railway coach factory in the country. It will provide direct and indirect employment to 2,200 people and will be a centre for manufacturing and exporting rail coaches.
After inaugurating the factory, CM KCR inspected the machinery and spoke to the factory managers about their plans for production. He also expressed his satisfaction with the progress that had been made so far.Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, Ministers K.T. Rama Rao, Harish Rao, Sabita Indra Reddy, Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy, and Medha Group MD Kashyap Reddy were present at the event. (INN)
