Floodwaters reach Sriram Sagar, Nizamsagar projects

Hyderabad: The recent heavy rains in Telangana have caused floodwaters to reach the Sriram Sagar and Nizam Sagar projects. The Sriram Sagar project is currently receiving a flow of 26,296 cusecs, and the water level is gradually reaching the full level. The maximum water level of Sriram Sagar is 1091 feet, and it is currently at 1084 feet. The water storage capacity was 90 TMC, but it is now 63.75 TMC.

The Nizam Sagar project is also receiving floodwaters, with a flow of 5300 cusecs. The current water level of the Nizam Sagar project is 1400 feet, while the full water level is 1405 feet. The current water storage in the project is 11.91 TMC, while the full water storage is 17.80 TMC.The floodwaters are expected to continue to rise in the coming days, and the authorities are monitoring the situation closely. They are also taking steps to ensure the safety of the people living in the downstream areas. (INN)
