Traffic restrictions in the city on Independence Day

Hyderabad: Independence Day celebrations will be held at Golconda Fort on Tuesday, August 15. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will unfurl the national flag. In view of the celebrations, traffic restrictions will be imposed in the vicinity of Golconda Fort from 7 am to 12 noon.

The road from Ranimahal Lane to Golconda Fort will be closed to general traffic. Vehicles with special passes will be allowed to use this road. The general public coming from Shaikpet and Tolichowki will be allowed to park their vehicles inside Seven Tombs.

The following traffic diversions will be in place: Traffic from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort will be diverted via Langar House; Traffic from Banjara Darwaza to Golconda Fort will be diverted via Seven Tombs and traffic from Golf Club to Golconda Fort will be diverted via Jamali Darwaza.

Motorists have been advised to plan their travel accordingly and follow the traffic restrictions.Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari inspected the arrangements at Golconda Fort on Monday in view of the Independence Day celebrations. She reviewed the security arrangements, traffic plan, and other arrangements. She directed the officials to make necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the celebrations. (INN)
