Senior journalist CHM MV Krishna Rao passes away

Hyderabad: Senior journalist and editor CHM MV Krishna Rao passed away on Thursday at the age of 75. He was suffering from age-related ailments.

Krishna Rao was born in 1948 in Karimnagar district of Telangana. He started his journalism career in 1975 as a stringer for the Telugu daily Eenadu. He later worked for several other publications, including Andhra Prabha, Andhra Bhumi, Deccan Chronicle, and New Indian Express. He was the news bureau chief of the Deccan Chronicle for 18 years.

Krishna Rao was known for his progressive views and his sharp analytical skills. He was also a popular TV personality and hosted several talk shows. He was a recipient of several awards, including the Andhra Pradesh State Government’s Kala Prapoorna Award.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao condoled Krishna Rao’s death and said that he was a senior journalist who had served the field of journalism honestly for more than four decades. He said that Krishna Rao’s writings, analysis, and TV discussions would have been thought-provoking.Krishna Rao is survived by his wife and two sons. (INN)
