Telangana leads in MBBS seats, doctors and grain output: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Telangana has the highest number of MBBS seats per lakh population in the country, at 22 seats. The state is also the top producer of doctors, said Medical and Health Minister Harish Rao.

Harish Rao and Minister Sabita Indra Reddy inaugurated the newly constructed Sriranganayaka Swamy BPharmacy College in Ramancha, Siddipet district On Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that it is a remarkable achievement to have started the college in just eight months after obtaining all necessary permissions.

He praised the development of Siddipet, saying that it has all kinds of educational institutions, including a medical college, agriculture college, veterinary college, pharmacy college, and nursing college. He added that all areas in Telangana have developed and that every village is progressing.

Harish Rao also highlighted Telangana’s other achievements, such as being the number one state in the country in grain production and IT products. He also said that Telangana is the only state in the country to provide 24-hour electricity without cuts.

He criticized the opposition parties for their negative campaigning, saying that they are competing in cursing while the BRS government is competing to keep Telangana state at the top in terms of development and welfare.

Harish Rao also announced that the exhibition society will hold exhibitions in all districts from now on, instead of just in Hyderabad. He said that this decision was made to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in and benefit from these events.

Minister Sabitha said that the B Pharmacy College got all the approvals and started thanks to the efforts of Minister Harish Rao. She praised Telangana for being a model for the rest of the country in terms of development and mentioned that Chief Minister KCR is also planning to set up a women’s university soon.Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, ZP chairperson Roja Radhakrishna Sharma, local public representatives, and exhibition society members also participated in the program. (INN)
