KCR Govt committed to the welfare of disabled people: Kamalakar

Hyderabad: BC Welfare Minister Ganga Kamalakar reiterated the government’s commitment to the welfare of disabled people.

He participated in the distribution of battery-powered tricycles to disabled persons organized by the Telangana Vikalangula Cooperative Corporation and Aleem Co under the auspices of the Department of Welfare of Women, Children, Disabled, and Elderly at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar on Saturday.

Each tricycle worth Rs. 42,000 was handed over to 30 disabled persons. Speaking later, the minister said that Telangana was the only state that provides a pension of Rs 4,000 to the disabled. He said the government was committed to providing more facilities to this vulnerable group in the coming days.

District Collector Dr B Gopi, City Mayor Y Sunil Rao, and District Library Corporation Chairman Ponnam Anil Kumar Goud also participated in the program. (INN)
