KCR confident of BRS hat-trick victory in Assembly elections

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has claimed that a hat-trick victory of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi is certain in the upcoming assembly elections. He said that the BRS party will win in 95 to 105 constituencies and that there is no room for any doubt in this matter.

KCR was speaking at a meeting of BRS leaders and workers of the Gajwel Assembly Constituency at the convention hall of Tumakanta. He mentioned a conversation he had with his colleague Jahangir, in which Jahangir asked him why he had announced that he would be contesting from the Kamareddy Assembly Constituency as well. He replied that he had a different reason and that he would stay in Gajwel. He also said that the candidate of the party who wins from Gajwel will form the government of that party in the state and that this tradition has been going on for years.

KCR said that he had never seen defeat in his political life, except for once when he lost by 700 votes under a conspiracy. He was 25 years old at the time, and voting was done by ballot paper. He said that 5,000 to 6,000 votes were obtained in this election, but the same votes were reversed and he was declared failed by 700 votes. He was not given a chance for recounting, and the matter was referred to the High Court. Except for this one election, KCR said that he had gotten success every time.

He said that the work done by his government for development and public welfare during the last 10 years has made the people know what the BRS is. He said that people don’t need to be told more details about the party. He promised that all the pending works of the state would be completed in the coming term.

KCR said that whenever he visits the Gajvel assembly constituency, he always feels sad because he is not able to spend much time there due to his heavy responsibility as Chief Minister. He said that in the coming term, he will allocate one day every month to the Gajwel assembly constituency and complete all the pending works there. He also said that he would spend a day with the people and get the details of the development works.

He assured to solve the problems of the land victims of the Konda Pochamma Sagar and Mallanna Sagar project. He said that in the coming term, Gajwel Assembly Constituency will be developed in all aspects and it will be converted into an ideal Assembly Constituency across the state. He said that after success in the upcoming elections, he should hold the first meeting here in the same hall with the post of Chief Minister and prepare a blueprint by discussing all the pending works in detail. The works will be executed accordingly.

KCR said that it is his dream that there should be no family in the Gajwel Assembly Constituency that does not have a private house. He said that so far the development work done in Gajwel was only of the first phase. More works of the second phase will be carried out in the coming period. (INN)
