Hyderabad: The Department of Sociology at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), a Central Government University, has been operational since 2014. Applications are now invited for admission into the Postgraduate MA Sociology and PhD courses for the academic year 2024-25.
Dr. K. M. Ziyauddin, Head of the Department of Sociology, highlighted the excellent opportunities available for students with an Urdu background who aspire to pursue higher education in a central university and build a career in sociology.
Admissions to the MA Sociology program are currently open on a merit basis, with 25 seats available. The deadline for submitting applications is June 30, 2024.
Admissions to the PhD program will be based on an entrance test, and there are 15 seats available. The last date for submitting PhD applications is May 30, and the entrance exam is scheduled for June 12.
