Chief Secretary reviews arrangements for TG Formation Day celebrations

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari held a meeting with senior officials and reviewed the arrangements to be made for the State Formation Day on the 2nd of June. 

With the Election Commission of India (ECI) giving permission to the government to hold the state formation day, the Chief Secretary instructed the officials to make elaborate arrangements in a befitting manner.

The Chief Secretary stated that the state formation day celebrations will be held at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will first visit Gun Park and pay tributes to the martyrs at the Telangana Amaraveerula Stupam.  The Chief Secretary directed the police department to prepare a traffic route map while assigning alighting /pick-up points and parking places and make arrangements accordingly, duly providing signage at vantage points.  They were also told to regulate the movement of dignitaries by designating pick-up points to ensure smooth and timely departure to avoid unnecessary delay at the time of leaving the venue.  The R&B department was directed to provide barricading and arrange shamiana/shade to ensure that people are not exposed to the sun.

The GHMC officials were told to arrange cleaning, levelling, watering, maintenance of sanitary and hygienic conditions, and decorative flags. The Chief Secretary directed the cultural department to ensure the participation of artists befitting a carnival atmosphere. The energy department was told to provide a three-phase power supply and ensure uninterrupted power supply, duly keeping a standby team at the venue. All the departments were told to work in coordination and organise the function in a grand manner.DGP Ravi Gupta, Special Chief Secretary Adhar Sinha, Principal Secretaries B Venkatesham, Jitender, Secretaries Christina Zongthu, MD HMWSB Sudershan Reddy, MD TSPDCL Musharaf, CDMA Divya, Special Commissioner I&PR Hanumantha Rao and other officials attended the meeting. (INN)
