Pensioners to stage stir from Aug 22 in Telangana

Hyderabad: The retired employees of Telangana State have demanded the State Government to immediately solve their long-pending demands and warned that they would launch an agitation in phases from August 22.

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, the Telangana State Government Retired Employees’ Association chief Chandraprakash Rao said that the Association has been demanding the government pay additional quantum of pension to the pensioners,

who had completed 70 years; payment of PRC arrears; and health benefits like – free treatment to pensioners in corporate hospitals, including OP and medicines among other issues.

The association leaders said they would stage protests the Tahsildar offices on August 22 to press for their demands. On September 22, they would stage a Maha Dharna at Indira Park and submit a memorandum to the Chief Secretary, the Association leaders said. (INN)
