Experts have advised the youth to learn language in order to improve their communication skills.
“Any language that you speak must be precise, clear and communicable. Unless you learn the language, you cannot communicate in a fluent manner. One should also focus on diction and the accent of Urdu or Telugu should not be used while speaking English,” said senior journalist Mir Ayoob Ali Khan while addressing Prize Distribution Ceremony of Essay Writing Competition organised by Hyderabad Youth Mirror (HYM) here on Saturday evening.
He said one need not be an anchor to speak like an anchor. But the use of proper diction and accent can make a speaker sound both impressive and expressive, he said.
Commenting about the competition, HYM editor Fasiullah SM said, “Students showed much interest in expressing their thoughts about state of education in Telangana and beautifully articulated their views. I believe they need more such opportunities and platforms to polish their skills.”
NLP Expert Er. S Ameenul Hasan from Bangalore, Insight International School Principal Mansoor Ahmed Kaleem, and INN Editor Shaik Ahmed Ali were also present.
Winners of Essay Writing Competition were given awards in the event. The first prize of Rs. 5,000/- cash was won by Mohammed Sanaullah Farhan of University College of Law (OU), second prize of Rs. 3,000/- cash by B.M. Mukesh Kumar of University Arts & Science College, Warangal and third prize of Rs. 2,000/- was given to Avinash Akella of Vasavi College of Engineering.
Consolation prizes were given to B. Sylvia Suhasini, Mythili K, Mohammed Ahmed, Lalsingh Nayak, P J Theja Saai, Angirga Shiva Kumar, Dubbudu Pranathi, Prashanth Reddy Lenkala, M.A.Asad and Chaluvadi Prasanth.
Hyderabad Youth Mirror had also organized a day-long workshop on Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) for youngster at Hotel Pearl Regency today.
