Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Ravindra Gupta visited Tirupati Railway Station on Sunday on an inspection.
He was accompanied by Amitabh Ojha, Divisional Railway Manager, Vasudeva Reddy, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and other Officials of Guntakal Division.
The General Manager undertook an extensive tour of Tirupati Railway Station, covering the entire station premises from the main (North side) till the South side entrance area.
He checked the facilities available at the station including the lifts, apron, Booking offices, Parcel Office, Luggage Scanners, Passenger amenities in platforms, waiting areas, circulating area etc.
During the course of the inspection, Ravindra Gupta sought details from the Divisional Railway Manager and other Officials of the Division on the developmental plans for the development of the station.
The General Manager opined that the developmental plans shall hold a long term perspective, keeping in view the anticipated increase in passenger traffic at Tirupati. (INN)
