TRS differs with Amit Shah on funds claim, says it is State’s share

Karimnagar: TRS on Sunday found fault with the BJP chief Amit Shah’s statement that the Centre has granted Rs 90,000 crore. Speaking to media persons here, party MP B Vinod Kumar said that the claims of BJP chief are wrong. Telangana state was entitled to the said amount of funds.

The statehood movement was based only to get the share which Telangana was entitled to in every development work.

The TRS MP said that after the formation of Telangana, about 2,000 kms of national highways were granted for the state. In the past 60 years Telangana got only 9 Navodaya schools.

The TRS leader reiterated party’s stand that the reogranisation of districts was being carried out solely for administrative purpose and the same was done in a scientific manner.

He said that the TRS in 2006 demanded statehood for Telangana as well as reorganization of districts in the state. (INN)
