ISIS Could Be Anything, But It Has Nothing to Do with Islam, JIH VP Sadat

ISIS is a violent group which could be anything, but it has nothing to do with Islam for sure, opined Syed Sadatullah Husaini, Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) in a program in Hyderabad on November 29.

Speaking to a gathering of over 100 students in a 2-days meeting organized by Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) Hyderabad Chapter at Gandipet, he suggested Muslim students to represent Islam by social welfare work in public.

While convincing students to adopt peaceful and non-violent means to counter injustice, Mr. Sadat said Muslims should try for dominance of Islam, but should not make the way for Islam difficult by trying impossible things.

He further advised students to choose those fields which lead them to better positions in the government. In addition, he suggested Islamic movements to take non-Muslims supporters along in the fight for justice in the society.

Speaking on the occasion, former HoD of Hyderabad’s EFL University Prof. Sudhakar said education and research tend to produce workforce for service industry as against public industries.

Education and economy cannot be separated, he noted while articulating that after the liberalization of Indian economy, MNCs have changed the fabric of local, indigenous and rural markets which are struggling to sustain.

On the other hand, media and state have retrieved from the public welfare model, Prof. Sudhakar added. “This change has impacted education.”

Education is a process of becoming human which leads to others’ welfare. It is a tool to combat individualism that vested market forces strive for, he expressed.

Enlightening the students gathering with his legal expertise, AP High Court lawyer Shafiq-ur-Rehman Muhajir asked them to develop analytical ability to read between the lines.

He also advised: “You must drive yourself ruthlessly to succeed.”
