TS Govt has strengthened education sector: Dy CM

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Wednesday said that the Telangana Government was making strides in education sector through its various initiatives taken up to strengthener school education in the state.

The Minister said that in order to provide free education from KG to PG to the poor in the state , the TRS government was establishing residential schools in a massive way.

He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced the establishment of 255 residential schools for children from various marginalized communities on the 125th Birth Anniversary of Architect of Constitution Dr B.R. Ambedkar.

Srihari said that by 2017-18, about 4.5 lakh students will get education from 700 residential school in the state which in itself is a massive achievement in the field of school education.

He said that the government was spending Rs 3 crore on each school to impart education and added that as many as 14,000 various jobs were provided under teaching and non-teaching staff in residential schools.

The Deputy CM has urged the school principals to ensure quality education and to uphold the trust the Chief Minister has imposed on them. (INN)
