President to preside over Army College of Dental Sciences Convocation

Hyderabad: President of India Pranab Mukherjee will preside over the Convocation Ceremony of Army College of Dental Sciences (ACDS) in Secunderabad on 23rd December. Degrees will be conferred on 38 graduating students and 9 post graduates from 6 specialties of Dental Surgery during the ceremony.

Army College of Dental Sciences, located at Jai Jawahar Nagar was established in 2001 by Army Welfare Education Society to provide professional education to wards of serving & retired Army personnel.

The College also admits six meritorious students from the State of Telangana based on their performance in EAMCET exam.

It has been awarded National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) ‘A’ grade in this year. The teaching hospital is equipped with 170 dental Chairs and advanced infrastructure in Dental Implant treatment, Laser assisted surgeries and Endodontic microsurgeries to name a few.

It has been providing comprehensive dental and oral care to both Ex-Servicemen and civilians at its campus and through community outreach programs.

Over the years the institute has grown in status and professional standing amongst the dental colleges in the country.

A leading National weekly has rated the College amongst top 20 Dental colleges in the Country in terms of academic excellence.

It is pertinent to note that erstwhile President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam had also graced the convocation held in 2007. (INN)
