KCR launches double bedroom housing scheme

Siddipet: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday launched the TRS government’s flagship housing scheme at Erravalli and Narasannapet, the two villages he adopted, in Gajwel constituency in Siddipet district.

Nearly 500 families in the two villages moved into their newly constructed double-bedroom houses amid chanting of vedic hymns at 7.53 am on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the two villages would be transformed as cashless villages and urged other villages in the state to follow the suit.

Under the housing scheme, 380 houses have been constructed in Erravalli and 200 in Narsannapet. All houses will be provided round-the-clock water and WiFi facility.

Fruit bearing saplings were planted in the premises of the new houses to help the occupants grow horticulture and other crops. The families were also being provided one milch buffalo and 20 country chicken each to help them earn a livelihood. (INN)
