Telangana will be No. 1 State soon: KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has exuded confidence that the new Telangana State will soon become No 1 State in the country.

“Telangana State has registered an impressive growth in development in financial and welfare fronts thus negating the apprehensions that whether Telangana State will survive as an independent State.

By registering 21% development rate, the State has proved that it is on the development path more than on the expected lines.

He also expressed his satisfaction that the State, which is formed after a prolonged struggle is making rapid strides in development,” the Chief Minister said.

The Chief Minister was speaking at an informal chat he had with the Telangana NRIs who came to visit him at Pragathi Bhavan to greet him on the new year’s day.

The CM took the occasion to explain in detail several programmes, policies, projects initiated by the government. He said the State’s economy is robust and he also explained the support his government is getting from the Centre.

KCR has emphasised that everyone should know the financial status of the Telangana state more so the NRIs, how it is raising its head as the 29th State in the country.

He also gave an audio-visual presentation on the progress made by Mission Bhagiratha programme. Under Mission Bhagiratha programmes along with the pipelines, Optical Fibre lines are also provided to the each village to make it totally digital.

Several NRI settled aboard are showing keen interest in investing in Hyderabad. Besides it’s excellent weather conditions, Hyderabad has the unique quality of a true cosmopolitan city, with its great tradition, culture and human relationships.

The Chief Minister said there is a bountiful rainfall this year, with both the rivers having water in abundance. “We have to utilise the water to the optimal level for both drinking and irrigation purposes.

Telugus around the Globe feel that investing in Telangana is safe when compared to other states. We will welcome all those investors with open hand beyond the regional differences,” he said.

KCR has expressed happiness that the Telangana NRIs who took an active part in the Telangana movement are coming forward to take part in its development.

He also told the NRIs on how they should take part in the developmental activities. He asked them to prepare plans for the development of their villages and districts.

He welcomed their initiatives to develop their villages. He also assured them that the government would extend all its help and cooperation for the NRIs. (INN)
