Dy CM promises best arrangements for Haj pilgrims

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali assured that the State Government would make best arrangements for the Haj pilgrimage and try to increase the Haj Quota for the Telangana State.

While addressing the gathering on the occasion of release of Haj Application Forms for Haj 2017 at Haj House here on Monday,

the Deputy CM he said that he had spoken to the Union Minister for Minority Affairs for enhancements of Haj Quota for Telangana State as the Muslim population in Hyderabad is more than any other part of the country and the quota for the State is very less.

Mahmood Ali said that due to efforts of State Government free accommodation with free food and free laundry facilities was provided to Haj pilgrims in Rubath in Makkah and the government would try to see that all the pilgrims from Telangana and erstwhile Nizam state get free accommodation in the Rubath.

TRS MLC Mohammed Saleem wished the Haj aspirants success in their endeavor and said that they should bring out a change in their attitude and behavior after Haj.

MLC Mohammed Farooq Hussain said that efforts should be made for proper guidance and service to the Haj pilgrims in every part of the State. MIM MLA Jaffer Hussain Meraj explained that all the Haj affairs are handled in a transparent manner and the Haj applicants should not believe any person who assures them to provide a seat for Haj.

Advisor to the State Government (Minorities Affairs) A.K. Khan cautioned the pilgrims against un-recognized private Haj Tour Operators. Minorities Welfare Department Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel also spoke.

Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor welcomed the gathering and said that elaborate arrangements have been made for issue and receipt of the Haj Application Forms.

Special Counters were set up in the Haj House for assistance of the Haj applicants. (INN)
