Strive for setting up a corruption-free society: Kavitha

Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP and TRS leader K. Kavitha on Saturday appealed the youth to strive to establish a corruption-free society.

Speaking at an international conference for Charted Accountancy students at Gachi Bowli, Kavitha said that the nation has seen many a changes on various fronts in the past couple of years.

She said that after the demonetization, the responsibility of CAs has increased. I believe after demonetization Chartered Accountants are the new rock stars, she remarked.

The TRS MP said that earlier youngsters would prefer engineering and medicine courses but the trend has now changed with students preferring courses on finance and economy.

She said that there are 16 per cent of female students pursing CA now and expressed hope that it will see a gradual increase in the coming years. (INN)
