KCR’s 64th birthday celebrated with fanfare

Hyderabad: The 64th birthday of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was celebrated with much fanfare all across the Telangana State on Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called up KCR over phone to wish him a happy birthday. Modi spoke to the Chief Minister for about 15 minutes. They also discussed the latest situation in the Telangana State.

TRS leaders organised several programmes in all 31 districts, including Hyderabad, to celebrate the occasion. Ministers, TRS MPs and legislators and other leaders participated in various programmes held at party headquaters Telangana Bhavan and other places.

Blood donation camps, distribution of fruits among patients in government hospitals, distribution of cheques to CMRF beneficiaries and cultural programmes were organised to mark the occasion.

Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatraya, Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud, minsiters Harish Rao, Etala Rajender, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Indira Karan Reddy, Jogu Ramanna, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, State Planning Board Vice-Chairman Niranjan Reddy, RTC Chairman S. Satyanarayana, Mission Bhagaritha Vice-Chairman Prashant Reddy, Chief Secretary S.P. Singh, Commissioner of Police Mahender Reddy and other dignataries visited Pragathi Bhavan to wish KCR on his birthday.

Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav cut the 100-kg cake and conducted cultural programmes at Jal Vihar. The programme was attended by Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and others leaders.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha, GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin and other leaders participated in the function held at Telangana Bhavan.

Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy and other leaders celebrated the Chief Minister’s birthday in China. (INN)
