Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav conducted annual inspection of Dharmavaram-Pakala Section on Guntakal Division on Thursday. Guntakal Divisional Railway Manager Amitabh Ojha accompanied the General Manager all through the inspection.
According top priority to safe and smooth train operations, the General Manager commenced the annual inspection of the Division with level crossing gate (non-interlocked) between Dharmavaram and Kadiri railway stations.
He interacted with the Gateman and enquired on the standard safety protocols being followed while road commuters crossing the gate. Satisfied with the response the General Manager awarded the Gateman.
Vinod Kumar Yadav formally inaugurated LED lighting at Kadiri Railway Station and declared the entire Dharmavaram – Pakala Section as 100% LED lit Section.
The General Manager inspected entire station premises including circulating area, waiting halls and reviewed various passenger amenities. He also inspected points, signals and track circuits. Kadiri MLA Attar Chand Basha and other public representatives met the General Manager and submitted representations seeking additional passenger amenities.
At Madanapalle Railway Station, the General Manager inaugurated Children’s Park, New Type II quarters and Solar Pump. He also inspected the Health Unit and reviewed the medical facilities available in the Unit. Later, he inspected the Permanent Way and appreciated the efforts in track maintenance.
General Manger advised the staff to be vigilant while delivering duties and asked them to keep up the good work.
Madanapalle MLA Thippa Reddy and other public representatives met the General Manager and submitted memorandums seeking halt for some more express trains at Madanapalle.
Between Madanapalle and Piler stations, the General Manager inspected sharp curves, minor bridge and major bridge located across River Pileru and examined their standards of safety.
MLA C. Bhaskar Reddy met the General Manager and submitted representations seeking enhanced passenger amenities.
South Central Circle Commissioner Railway Safety Ram Kripal and other senior officials accompanied the General Manager and conducted department wise inspection. (INN)
