TDP MLA denied entry into BAC meeting

Hyderabad: TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was denied entry into the chambers of Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudan Chary to attend the meeting of Business Advisory Committee (BAC) on Saturday.

The security staff told the MLA that he was not allowed to attend the meeting as he was suspended from the House for entire budget session.

Sandra argued that he was one of the invitees for the meeting and the invitation was signed by Legislature Secretary Raja Sadaram himself. However, the security personnel did not entertain his argument and denied entry citing instructions by the Speaker.

Speaking to media persons later, Telangana TDP Working President A. Revanth Reddy strongly condemned the Legislature Secretary. He asked as to why the Secretary had sent the invite to a member who was suspended and said that the party would have nominated another MLA R. Krishnaiah to attend the crucial BAC meeting.

He said this was done deliberately to deny TDP an opportunity to participate in the BAC meeting. He accused the Assembly Speaker of misusing his post by acting like a TRS activists. (INN)
