Elaborate security arrangements for IPL-10 final match on May 21

Hyderabad: Elaborate security arrangements are being made for the IPL-10 T-20 final match scheduled on May 21 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal.

About 1800 police personnel are deployed for bandobust. They include officials from Security Wing (250), Traffic (270), Law and Order (870), Armed Forces (6 Platoons), Octopus, SB and CCS staff and two fire tenders with fire fighting squad.

As many as 88 CCTV cameras are being installed in and around the stadium including the places at vehicle check points. A Joint command and control room is also established at South ground floor to monitor all the CCTV footages for taking immediate action.

A Special Party has been arranged separately to meet with the exigency.

Anti sabotage checks with the help of eight B.D teams would continue round the clock until the match and post presentation programme is completed. Separate teams are being deployed for checking the movements of anti-social elements.

The spectators are not allowed to carry Laptops, Banners, Water Bottles, Cameras, Cigarettes, Electronic Items, Matchbox, Lighters, Sharp metal/plastic objects, Binoculars, Coins, Writing Pens, Batteries, Helmets, Perfumes Bags, Outside Eatables and Power Banks.

A separate SHE Teams/Anti-Eve-Teasing team has been deployed to control eve teasing. Another vendor supervising team/vigilance is deployed to control over the vendors and their rates as prescribed by the authorities in each stand. (INN)
