Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Monday stayed the recruitment on Group-II posts for a period of three weeks and directed the Telangana Government to file its counter.
The appointments for Group-II posts were stayed following a petition lodged before the High Court alleging irregularities in the conduct of written exams. It was complained that some candidates were wrongly selected.
The High Court directed the Telangana State Public Service Commission to stop the verification of certificates and stop further process of recruitment until further orders.
It may be mentioned that nearly 5.65 lakh candidates had appeared for written exams held in November last year for 1032 Group-II posts. The TSPSC had called nearly 3,000 candidates for interviews recently. (INN)
