Congress to conduct ‘Rahul Sandesh Yatra’ after Ramzan

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday announced that the party would organise ‘Rahul Sandesh Yatra’ after the Ramzan festival.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Uttam Kumar Reddy said AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi has delivered a strong message to the people on non-performance of TRS Government in the State and BJP Government at the Centre while addressing ‘Telangana Praja Garjana’ meeting at Sangareddy on June 1.

He said that the TPCC has decided to take Rahul Gandhi’s message to all households across Telangana State by conducting ‘Rahul Sandesh Yatra’.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said as a prelude to ‘Rahul Sandesh Yatra’, meetings would be organised at headquarters of all 31 districts wherein party workers would be briefed about the message to be conveyed and they would be armed with People’s Chargesheet against TRS Government.

He said the meetings would be convened immediately after the conclusion of Ramzan festival. After district headquarters, similar meetings would be held at Assembly constituency level. He said all Congress leaders and workers would take an active part in the ‘Rahul Sandesh Yatra’.

The TPCC Chief said that Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Telangana has rejuvenated the party in Telangana and now each and every worker is filled with confidence to bring the party back to power in 2019 elections.

He said Rahul Gandhi had exposed the failures of TRS and BJP Governments during the last three years and his message has deeply penetrated into the minds of common people.

Congress pays tributes to Dasari, Palvai, CiNaRe

Telangana Congress leaders paid rich tributes to former union minister Dasari Narayana Rao, Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy, legendary poet Dr. C. Narayana Reddy and ex-MLA Nagam Krishna in a condolence meeting, chaired by Uttam Kumar Reddy, at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday.

TPCC Vice-President Nagaiah moved the condolence motion which was supported by Uttam Kumar Reddy, former union minister S. Jaipal Reddy, ex-PCC Presidents V. Hanumantha Rao and Ponnala Lakshmaiah and other leaders. They recalled the services of departed leaders for people and their respective fields. (INN)
