Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that the Telangana Government would soon introduce a Parking Policy to end woes pertaining to parking of vehicles in Hyderabad and other cities in the State.
KTR held a review meeting on Thursday with officials of police, municipal and other departments to elicit their views on the draft policy.
He said multi-level parking complexes should be constructed at all busy locations to resolve the problem. He said private parties should be invited to construct parking complexes at available open spaces.
He said it should be provisioned that sufficient space is provided for parking at the time of construction of new buildings in the State. He said that the municipal department should give incentives to the builders who provide sufficient parking spaces in their buildings. (INN)
