TITA enables Telangana artists to go online

Hyderabad: Artists of various art forms from across Telangana will now be a part of digital world with Telangana State Department of Language and Culture launching its website www.tsdolc.com, aimed at consolidating the whole process of artist registration online.

The website was formally launched by Tourism Minister Azmeera Chandulal in his chamber in state secretariat on Saturday. He said that it was a good initiative towards digitization of statistics of artists in the state.

He congratulated developers and promoters of this idea. The website was designed and developed by Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) – Digithon. Digithon team has been working on developing this website for quite some time. The website would be maintained by Telangana Innovation and Incubation Centre (TIIC), a college level initiative of TITA.

The first ID card was issued to the Advisor to State Government S V Ramana Chary on this occasion. Ramanachary said that he was recognized and given a state ID card of an artist after nearly 40 years into arts and cultural arena.

Director Department of Language and Culture Mamidi Harikrishna on this occasion said that the website was designed to encourage and support all kind of artists in the state.

He said, “This website brings down the role of middle men and directly interacts with artists. They can register with department by logging on to this website and get an ID card immediately.”

Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) Global President Sundeep Kumar Makthala on this occasion said that it was a matter of pride and honor to develop the website for a government department.

He said, “This site would be maintained by Telangana Innovation & Incubation Center (TIIC) and we are ready to take up such tasks for other government departments too in the future.” State government should come forward to support such start-ups in order to get best services at minimum cost and best quality. It would be win-win for both the stakeholders, he added.

He further said that TITA flagship initiative Digithon has been working on digital literacy programs for villagers and other underprivileged sections of the society.

TS Department of Culture principal secretary B Venkatesham, TITA Vice President Mr. Ranapratap Bojjam, General Secretary Srilatha Chinthala, Joint Secretary Vishwak, Praveen, Sravan and other dignitaries were present during the website launch. (INN)
