Bankey Behari takes charge as GST Chief Commissioner

Hyderabad: Bankey Behari Agrawal has assumed charge as Chief Commissioner, GST & Customs, Hyderabad Zone, Hyderabad (covering the entire state of Telangana).

In addition, he is also in-charge as Chief Commissioner of GST & Customs, Visakhapatnam Zone (covering the state of Andhra Pradesh).

He is from the 1985 batch of the Indian Revenue Service, and has worked at several places.

He has been actively involved with the drafting of GST laws pertaining to Appeals and Revision and was also instrumental in the designing of the 4-Tier GST Training plan which led to training of almost 60,000 (Central/State) officers during 2016.
