Amb. Najeeb Nominates KCR for Leadership & Good Governance Award in New York

Telangana’s first International Ambassador for Peace Mohd. Najeed met Secretary General of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) International Dr. Tageldin Hamad during United Nations workshop on anti-corruption in New York this week.

“We exchanged thoughts on various important issues”, said Amb. Najeeb. Among many things, he said to have made a successful attempt for nominating Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for Leadership & Good Governance Award.

Lauding KCR’s contribution towards Telangana movement, Amb. Najeeb said: “he has striven non-violently for almost 12 years to make Telangana State a reality.”

The award recognizes those who have demonstrated outstanding leadership principles, including fairness, honesty, accountability, transparency and inclusiveness, said Amb Najeeb.

UPF International works with United Nations for peace across the world with its network of over 150 peace embassies. The organization gives awards for leadership and good governance to high profile people including presidents, prime ministers, and chief ministers.
