Naqvi to inaugurate Mudra Loans Promotion Camp tomorrow

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Minorities Affairs Muqtar Abbas Naqvi will inaugurate the Mudra Loans promotion camp at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Indoor Stadium on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons at Secretariat on Wednesday Chief Principal Secretary to Finance Sandeep Kumar Sultania and Chief General Manager of State Bank of India and Chairman of State Level Bankers Committee Hardayal Prasad informed that the 35 State Level bankers would have their stalls in the camp.

Loans from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 10 lakh will be provided to the eligible applicants without collateral guarantee under three Central Government schemes – Mudra Scheme, Sishu, Kishore and Tarun.

Apart from this the camp will have other stalls to facilitate the applicants for opening Bank Account, Aadhaar Seedings, Mobile Seeding, enrolment under Pradhan Manthi Jeevan Jyothi Bima Yojana, Pradhan Manthri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, awareness and facilitation of agriculture credits, credit through SHG, merchants on boarding for various digital payments, downloading of BHIM Aadhaar Pay app, coverage of merchants with Bharat QR code.

They said that the Central Government has given the target to the Telangana state of providing loans under Mudra Scheme to the tune of Rs. 5,065 crores this year.

But so far the Bankers has provided loans to the tune of over Rs. 1000 crores. They said, this year the target would be achieved as the Bankers will organise such camps periodically at different places.

However, they said as against the target of Rs. 4475 crore last year, only 5% was achieved as the scheme was launched in the middle of the financial year. (INN)
