It will be a one-way contest for TRS in next elections: Kavitha

Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha on Tuesday claimed that there would be one-way contest for Telangana Rashtra Samithi in next elections.

Speaking to media persons after meeting Health Minister Dr. Laxma Reddy at the Secretariat, Kavithta said that TRS would gain even if all opposition parties unitedly contest against the TRS. She said that the TRS would sweep the next elections and entire opposition would be wiped out.

Kavitha said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao would soon take an all-party delegation to Prime Minister Narender Modi on the issue of SC categorisation.

He said that the TRS has a clear stand on SC categorisation and it was wrong on the part of TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy to accuse the Chief Minister of not giving time.

The TRS MPA said that although there was no woman minister in KCR cabinet, TRS Government has been implementing several schemes for women welfare. She also denied allegation that KCR was resorting to vendetta politics against TDP leader Pratap Reddy. She said action was being taken against Pratap Reddy as per the law.

Kavitha also denied Uttam Kumar Reddy’s allegation that IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao did not get any official invitation from World Economic Forum at Davos.

She said KTR went for the event as the official representative of Telangana Government in response to the WEF invite.

She also welcomed the statement of TDP leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu wherein he advised merger of Telangana TDP with TRS. Further, she said that the TRS would welcome the formation of new political outfit by Telanana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram.

Kavitha said there was no clarity on Centre’s decision on increasing the number of Assembly seats in Telangana. She also ruled out any shuffle in the State cabinet. (INN)
