Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has set a new record in collection of Property Tax.
The GHMC has collected Rs. 1320.26 crore towards Property Tax for the year 2017-18 which is Rs. 115 crore higher than 2016-17. GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy has congratulated the staff for setting a new record in Property Tax collection. He also informed that the GHMC’s revenues through other means have also increased.
As against Rs. 26.19 crore collected through Advertisement in 2016-17, this year it has crossed Rs. 38.44 crore. He said that the corporation has earned Rs. 52 crore through Trade Licenses in 2017-18 which is Rs. 10 crore more than previous year. (INN)
