KTR launches double bed room project at Singam Cheruvu

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K. T. Rama Rao inaugurated the double bed room project at Singam Cheruvu on Saturday. The project of 176 houses with 11 blocks in G+3 pattern with a plinth area of 560 sft., of each unit, is being taken up at a cost of Rs. 13.64 crores.

Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy, GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan, MP Ch. Malla Reddy, MLC K. Janardhan Reddy, MLAs NVSS Prabhakar and Sudhir Reddy, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, Corporators, Special Chief Secretary for Housing Chithra Ram Chandran, GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Medchal Collector M.V. Reddy and other senior officials have participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister KTR informed that 95% beneficiaries of this scheme were Tribals. He said the project will have all modernized facilities like CC roads, CC drains, Drinking water facilities, underground drainage, park and play grounds for children, composting units, LED lighting and all other basic minimum civic facilities.

It will be a gated community. He said this would be the first of its kind colony for Tribals. He said Telangana was the only state in the country which is spending Rs. 18,000 crores for housing. He said nearly 3 lakhs double bed room houses is the target out of which one lakh units are coming up in the GHMC limits.

He also informed that civic related works to the tune of Rs. 234 crores are being taken up in Uppal Constituency. (INN)
