Kodandaram’s resignation as JAC chief accepted

Hyderabad: The Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TJAC) has accepted the resignation of Prof. M. Kodandaram from the post of chairman.

Kodandaram had resigned from the post after he floated Telangana Jana Samithi. The decision to accept Kodandaram’s resignation was taken in the TJAC’s executive meeting held in Tarnaka on Sunday. The TJAC has also nominated Raghuveer, the JAC Chairman of Energy Dept Employees, as its new chairman.

Speaking on the occasion, Kodandaram said that the TJAC has played a major role in the formation of Telangana. He thanked everyone who helped him in the statehood movement. He said TJAC was a unique concept which was tried for the first time in any movement.

He said TJAC successfully fought for Telangana by acting an an umbrella organisation for all associations, NGOs, employees and all sections of the society. He said that the TJAC would continue its fight to strengthen democracy. (INN)
