Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao said that Telangana was the only State in the country which is giving cash incentive to farmers. He said never during the last 70 years of independence that any State has started such an innovative scheme.
Speaking after distributing Rythu Bandhu cheques among farmers in Konaraopet in his constituency Sircilla on Sunday, KTR said that the TRS Government has waived off crop loans of nearly Rs. 17,000 crore of about 38 lakh farmers and now it is spending Rs. 8,000 per acre per annum to about 58 lakh farmers. He said these measures have brought revolution in the lives of farmers.
KTR also listed out various measures being implemented by the TRS Government. (INN)
