Third batch of Haj pilgrims leave for holy journey

Hyderabad: The third batch of Haj pilgrims was flagged off at Haj House in Nampally on Thursday by Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Ali said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao was taking measures for the all round development of minorities, particularly the Muslims in the state. He said that that all facilities were provided to the pilgrims.

He requested the pilgrims to pray for welfare and development of the country, nation and the state and for promoting harmony, integrity and peace.

Nayini Narasimha Reddy requested the pilgrims to pray for all round development of Telangana State and the people.

Wakf Board Chairman Mohammed Saleem, Haj Committee chairman Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Minorities Welfare Secretary M. Dana Kishore, Special Officer Haj Committee Prof. S. A. Shukoor addressed the pilgrims and highlighted the arrangements for the welfare of pilgrims.
