Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner and Hyderabad District Electoral Officer M. Dana Kishore has directed all the Returning Officers, Assistant Commissioner of Police to conduct a meeting tomorrow with all the Representatives of Political Parties about Model Code of Conduct,
Procedures to be adopted so as to have a clear knowledge while performing the election process as per the clear guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
Dana Kishore, , Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Addl. Commissioner of Police Chauhan, along with DCPs, ACPs and senior officials of Police and GHMC Department held a meeting with regard to model code of conduct and precautionary measures to be taken about the polling stations and various other related subjects with regard to elections.
The DEO said that the main aim of the meeting is to inform the Political Parties and the citizens to have the elections with Free, Fair and Peaceful atmosphere without giving any scope of the inconvenience to the citizens.
The meetings, campaigns, Padayathras should be conducted by the Political Parties duly taking permissions from the concerned RO well in advance before 48 hours, how to create awareness about the model code of conduct to the political parties,
citizens and many other subjects related to the elections have been discussed and instructions have been given to the ROs and ACPs said the DEO.
The DEO and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad explained the role of flying squads along with surveillance teams functioning in the Assembly Constituency, vulnerability mapping, Critical, Sensitive and Hypersensitive Polling Stations etc.,
have also been discussed in the meeting where clear directions to the Police Officials have been given by the CP with regard to their performance during Election Process.
Anjani Kumar directed the ROs and ACPs to take proper care while issuing the permissions for the conduct of meetings, Rallies, campaigns by the political parties only after receiving the NOC from the Police Department,
the ROs must issue the permissions duly incorporating all the model code of conduct procedures and time bound frame for the conduct of above said meetings and also following the guidelines of ECI without giving any scope of inconvenience to the citizens.
