Kaleshwaram project will bring smiles on farmers faces: KTR

Hyderabad: Ministers Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and KT Rama Rao participated in ‘Rythu Kruthajnatha Sabha’ at Yellareddypet, Sircilla constituency on Saturday.

Addressing the farmers at the meeting, Minister KT Rama Rao said that Kaleshwaram Lift irrigation project will solve the water problem in the region. “Kaleshwaram project will provide sufficient water for agriculture and will bring smiles on farmers’ faces,” he said.

Minister KTR mentioned that agriculture had been the top priority of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao during the past four and a half years. “TRS government introduced Rythu Bandhu scheme and Rs 5 lakh insurance to help farmers,” he said.

“No government in the past had bothered about farmers and the farming sector but Chief Minister KCR is taking all possible measures to rescue the farmers from distress,” the Minister said. “In the entire country, KCR is the only leader who is providing investment support to farmers,” he added.

At the meeting, Minister KTR criticized Congress and TDP alliance. “On one hand Congress files cases on irrigation projects in the state and on the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu writes letters to the center asking them not to give permission for irrigation projects in Telangana.

How can Congress- TDP alliance do good to Telangana when they want to stop the development works in the state?” he asked. (INN)
