KTR holds review meeting on GHMC activities

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Monday instructed the GHMC officials to ensure that there should not be any borderline wall or frame in front of commercial establishments in the city.

While addressing a review meeting with the Mayor Dr. Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar and other senior officials, the Minister discussed on the development of footpaths and instructed to develop and lay new foot at least 10 km in Each Zone.

On the status of ongoing engineering works, he said the progress of works should be displayed at the site work. Since erection of 100 foot over bridge is already approved, steps should be take to expedite works and to construct Bus-bays and Bus Shelters in prescribed time.

Regarding the fly over incident, a committee has been constituted to study apart from Bio-diversity flyover and other flyovers in the city. Only on the submission of committee report, the Bio-Diversity flyover will be opened for public, he added.

On the successes of recent special programme conducted by the GHMC for collection of waste material in all wards and programme of Swachh ward conducted in Mehadipatnam, the Minister instructed the officials to take up such activities in all wards.

Further, he instructed to complete the LRS applications by December, 2019, and also to introduce the night sweeping. (INN)
