Hyderabad: Osmania University has instituted the Vice Chancellor Research Awards from this year onwards for excellence in research.
In a press release issued here today, the University said that for the first time such an initiative has been taken up and three faculty members will be presented with the awards which will carry a citation, a certificate and a cash prize for the teacher awardee.
The research output should include high impact research papers, paper presentation and research projects which will be shortlisted by an expert committee headed by the Dean of the respective faculties. The assessment period is from 1 December 2020 to 30 Nov 2021.
One award will be given in each of the three categories. Category 1 is for Arts & Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Law Education and Oriental languages. Category 2 will be for Engineering, Technology, Informatics and Pharmacy and Category 3 will be for the Science
Applications have been invited from the University faculty. The last date for sending applications is 20th December. (INN)
